About Our Puppies
The care we provide for our babies.
  • All our babies are raised in our home with lots of love and care.
  • We do not allow visitors to come and handle the pups while young.
  • They are current on shots and are de-wormed before leaving for their new homes.
  • They are raised around other animals and my own kids so they are socialized before you get them.
  • When you receive them you will get info on shots needed for the future as well as some first day tips for their new home.
  • All pups are started out on Purina puppy dry food, wet food is not the best. We encourage you not to switch their food right away as it can cause them to have the runs.

WE DO NOT allow visitors to visit with newborns!! I cannot stress this enough, would you want to buy your pup from a place where there are lookyloos and buyers coming in and out everyday, MUCH like a pet shop, bringing in disease and who knows what and who knows where they have been looking before and who knows if they've had a pup die from a disease!! PLUS it’s much too stressful for mom and too dangerous for the babies. At that age there is NOTHING to see. Our litters are generally all sold by the time they reach 9 weeks. We pickup our pick of litters normally at 7-8 weeks old. We do not even allow our pups to leave the house until they have had one shot in them, which our vet says is best protection. We do everything in our power to assure you of getting a healthy happy baby!!! Please understand it is best for you to have a strong healthy pup!!!

Do we sell t-cups. NO WE DO NOT, MATTER OF FACT,

NO ONE DOES. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TEACUP.

Be careful with this term as the AKC will tell you all chihuahua's are toy breed. THIS TERM gets used a lot to get A MUCH HIGHER PRICE FOR NOTHING MORE THAN THE RUNT OF A LITTER. THEY HAVE NO WEIGHT GROUPS THEREFORE WE GET AS MANY TINIES FROM A 6 POUND GIRL AS A 3 POUND GIRL. By breeding the smallest in size you can help to have smaller babies in a litter. And sometimes we just have really tiny babies! This is a term I just do not use.

Helpful things to know about Chihuahuas.....

Chi's get cold very easy. They need to be kept warm. Do not overdo it but try to remember they are fine around 78 degrees if they get too cold it can cause some serious problems for you. You can buy microwaveable heating pads at Petsmart to help keep them warm and regulate their temp. They are great and easy to use. Be careful do not overheat them either. Chi's are prone to hypoglicimia, this can be life threatening if not watched and treated if needed. I always suggest keeping Nutri-cal on hand (you can get it at Petsmart or a feed store). If they do not want to eat then give them some every 2-4 hours and it will keep their blood sugar from dropping. If you find your little one not responding well, getting stiff, tilting of head, or eyes rolling back get some Kayro syrup in them fast this will get right into their blood stream.  Get them warmed up on a towel and a heating pad while doing this (be careful not to burn them use low heat). Once they are doing a little better get them on Nutri-Cal. Then for the next few days give them some of it every 2-4 hours to keep them regular. They also like chicken baby food and if they will eat it you can give them some after they are back on their feet to keep them eating something while you are getting them lined back out. I have not had but a few who have had this problem but I like everyone to be aware. Most important if you are in doubt or the pup is not responding go to a vet right away! It is not worth your pups life!

When will my dogs ears stand?

Chihuahuas ears stand at different points. Sometime they stand from very early on and other times they stand and fall. I had one chi whose ears were still floppy at 6-9 months and even after a year they'd be floppy when he slept. Now they never flop. Be patient. Most chis will have ears that stand. It's fairly rare when they don't. The other poster is right that they may go back and forth as well. If they have/ or do even stand at any point, they will eventually. Most chis have erect ears by 6 months old though

It's possible that it may take some time for them to become fully developed, or they may only be half-pricked at best. Be happy with your pup, regardless of what her ears look like. FYI- The AKC says this about chihuahua's ears: "Ears - Large, erect type ears, held more upright when alert, but flaring to the sides at a 45 degree angle when in repose, giving breadth between the ears."
